Superintendent Dr. Theresa Battle's message to Vista View families

Dear Vista View Families,

I am very pleased to announce that Dr. Angie Pohl will be named the next principal for Vista View Elementary School. She will start her new role at Vista View this summer, following the retirement of Principal Nepsund.

Dr. Pohl has been the principal at Nicollet Middle School since the 2018-19 school year, after previously serving as associate principal at Burnsville High School. Her experience as an educator also includes classroom teaching, as well as serving as an instructional coach, educational researcher at the University of Minnesota, and as a school psychologist. 

During her time leading Nicollet, Dr. Pohl has built a strong and positive culture and supported the school’s continued excellence as an AVID National Demonstration School. I know she will bring the same level of excellence to Vista View. Her commitment to culturally proficient practices and track record of supporting growth in student achievement will make her a perfect fit.

Me complace anunciar que la Dra. Angie Pohl será nombrada la próxima directora de la Escuela Primaria Vista View. Comenzará su nuevo cargo en Vista View este verano, luego de la jubilación del director Nepsund.

La Dra. Pohl ha sido la directora de la Escuela Intermedia Nicollet desde el año escolar 2018-19, luego de haber sido directora asociada en la Escuela Secundaria Burnsville. Su experiencia como educadora también incluye la enseñanza en el aula, además de servir como entrenadora de instrucción, investigadora educativa en la Universidad de Minnesota y psicóloga escolar.

Durante su tiempo al frente de Nicollet, la Dra. Pohl ha construido una cultura fuerte y positiva y ha apoyado la excelencia continua de la escuela como Escuela Nacional de Demostración AVID. Sé que traerá el mismo nivel de excelencia a Vista View. Su compromiso con las prácticas culturalmente competentes y su historial de apoyo al crecimiento en el rendimiento estudiantil la convertirán en la persona perfecta.
